Heritage Day - Tuesday 25th April - 10.30am - 2.30pm
You are warmly invited to a Heritage Day at the Moorcroft Heritage Visitor Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, where you will enjoy an historical lecture, a guided factory tour, an opportunity to speak to our artists and craftspeople and unlimited hot and cold drinks with light snacks, all with Moorcroft's compliments, at no charge to yourself.
On the day, you will be welcomed into the world of Moorcroft over a morning talk, taking you on a journey through our rich and colourful history. You will have an opportunity to take a guided factory tour where you will be able to meet craftspeople making moulds, casting, hand-turning, impressing backstamps, and hand-dipping pieces before the final firing. You will be able to watch our unique method of tubelining and our artists painting with metallic oxide colours, as seen recently on The Great Pottery Throwdown.
Throughout the day, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks will be available for you to enjoy, in the surroundings of our quaint 1913 factory. Members of staff will be on hand to answer any of your questions and welcome you behind-the-scenes at Moorcroft. You will also have time to visit our museum, Grade II listed bottle oven and Heritage Visitor Centre.
The Moorcroft team will be on hand all day to answer your questions and we will have the latest Moorcroft designs on display. You will also be one of the first guests to see our Spring Catalogue designs in person, along with other recently-launched Prestige designs and the latest monthly miniature vases.
The Heritage Visitor Centre and Museum will remain open until 4.30pm, giving you plenty of time to view our latest designs.
