Beneath The Magnolia 95/20 Vase

Celebrating a remarkable career spanning 30 years at Moorcroft, Beneath the Magnolia reflects the artistic vision, passion and heritage that have defined Emma Bossons' work for three decades. 

Rich in ceramic colour, Emma has chosen cottage garden flowers not only close to her heart, but also those found flourishing in the borders at The Works. A keen gardener herself, the planting at Moorcroft's heritage site has been carefully developed to reflect more than a century of design inspiration. Poppies, hardy geraniums, cornflowers and anemones bloom amongst elegant swirling foliage, all Beneath the Magnolia. 

This celebratory design brings together many of the themes that have become synonymous with Emma's work; a love of nature, flowing Art Nouveau influences and a mastery of colour. Whilst firmly rooted in Moorcroft's artistic heritage, the design looks confidently towards the future, proudly championing the skills and craftsmanship that remain at the heart of the pottery today. 

Expertly tubelined and painted by Moorcroft's talented craftspeople, Beneath the Magnolia was conceived as a showcase for the remarkable skills found within The Works. Fine swirling lines of liquid clay, perfectly executed joins, and delicately shaded petals and leaves demonstrate the precision, patience and artistry required to bring Emma's vision to life. The result is a fitting celebration of both an exceptional designer and the team of artisans whose hands continue to uphold the Moorcroft tradition.
