Scented Snowdrops 63/7 Vase

Snowdrops are the floral harbingers of spring and bring delight to so many of us when they first appear in January, showing us the botanical new year is beginning again. There are myriad snowdrop varieties. Galanthus elwesii is a giant flowering snowdrop with honey-scented blooms. The scent acts as an attractant for pollinators, such as bees. In Vicky’s design her snowdrops have a backdrop of hexagonal honeysuckle pieces behind them, their shape echoing the shape of the six-sided vase itself. A single bee sits atop the snowdrops, each of which has been tubelined in dark slip to help the pure white flowers stand out.
