Timid Curiosity PLQ7 Plaque

In April and May, our ancient woodlands are awash with the much-loved, nodding heads of the bluebell. Millions of bulbs can exist in just one wood giving rise to the 'blue carpets' that are a springtime joy. Joy is complete when a hedgehog, having just awoken from its winter hibernation, can be spotted scurrying, somewhat dazed, through such bluebell circles with his powerful forefoot and claws. Captured with raised snout in search of roaming earwigs, millipedes and beetles, two little dark-brown eyes peep out from beneath a headscarf of spines in Timid Curiosity.
