Flambé has long held a special place in Moorcroft’s history, celebrated for its deep, glowing reds and richly shifting colour. Now, this distinctive Moorcroft tradition takes a new direction, bringing the drama of flambé to the British countryside.

The first design in a new series features a fox surrounded by the rich colours of autumn, with deep reds, dusky purples and blue tones flowing through the composition. While flambé has traditionally been associated with flowers and fruit, here its dramatic colour and movement capture the character of one of Britain’s most recognisable wild animals.

The distinctive flambé effect is achieved through the exceptional skill of the painter, carefully blending and layering colours to create the depth, warmth and subtle variations that give each piece its character. It is a technique that demands a particularly high level of painting skill and has become a celebrated part of modern Moorcroft.

Rooted in Moorcroft’s flambé heritage but inspired by the British landscape, this striking fox marks the beginning of a new chapter for the flambé story.
