Part of The King's Path Collection

The King Charles III England Coast Path is a 2,700-mile National Trail tracing the entire English coastline. Opened in March 2026, it passes through beaches, cliffs, coastal towns and ever-changing landscapes, offering greater access for walkers to experience the shoreline and its surrounding margins.

Inspired by the natural world and that sense of ‘fresh air therapy’, Emma has interpreted the eight sections of the path across eight designs. From views directly along the trail to nearby coastal scenes, the varied beauty of England’s coastline is captured in ceramic form.

Guardian of the White Cliffs

South & South-West Channel Coast

Located at the base of the chalk cliffs, Beachy Head Lighthouse has kept watch over fishing boats for over a century, its distinctive red and white stripes a later addition to create a prominent daymark. Built in 1902, it replaced the earlier Belle Tout Lighthouse, which once stood proudly on the cliff top before coastal erosion threatened its position.

Standing proud above swirling waters, the lighthouse watches over trawlers returning with their nightly catch. Guardian of the White Cliffs conveys the drama and power of the sea, where rolling waves move in constant motion, shifting between deep indigo and white beneath the changing light. This design captures the energy of the coastline, where a warm dawn sky meets the open channel, welcoming the safe return from the sea.
