Masquerade 93/8 Vase

Found hidden in grasslands are the native orchids of Britain, the Bee Orchid. Evocatively, the stem displays several relatively large flowers with pinkish-cream sepals that look like wings, and furry, brown lips that have yellow markings on, just like a bee. In fact, this Moorcroft design, when viewed from a distance, does witness the humble bumblebee feasting among violet blooms with a closed bud pictured at the rim of the vase, ready to masquerade.
