Symphony in Colour 370/2 Vase

The fifth design in a new collection of 12 monthly miniatures by designer Nicola Slaney. This fascinating series gives a glimpse of life in Britain’s hedgerows.

In May the British hedgerow is a vibrant lime green, dappled with the white froth of hawthorn. There is vibrant colour to be found too, as along the base of the hedgerow bluebells are at their peak. Like a carpet of blue, bluebells bring a symphony of colour to the countryside, mirroring the sky itself that is become a warmer shade of blue as each month passes by above our ancient hedgerows.
