Folklore Legend 769/6 Ginger Jar

Stretching her Persian colour palette as far as she dares, Nicola enters the world of wondrous dragons and newt-like reptiles with her favoured carnations dressed in soft heather purple, whilst a hapless fish awaits its fate in the dragon’s mouth. Dragons are large, serpentine, legendary creatures that appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide with beliefs about dragons varying considerably through the world fire. In this design the dragon creates a sense of movement, seizing its prey so that even the carnations bend and twist in unison.
