Antarctica 200/8 Vase

Item Reduced Numbered Edition
Vase

Emperors are the largest of all penguins and these flightless animals live on the Antarctic ice and freezing surrounding waters. To keep newly laid eggs warm, male emperors stand and protect them from the elements by balancing the eggs on their feet and covering them with feathered skin known as a brood pouch. During this two-month bout of babysitting the males eat nothing and are at the mercy of the Antarctic elements. When female penguins return to the breeding site, they bring a belly full of food that they provide for the newly hatched chicks. Vicky’s design captures these magical and rarely seen moments between family members on the Antarctic ice, with magnificent glaciers as their guardians.
