British Iris Society Collection

Last year, the British Iris Society celebrate their 100th anniversary. Celebrations reached a crescendo at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where the Society had a stand in the Great Pavilion split into four zones including 'Iris in Art', with a central display plinth featuring a prestige Moorcroft vase encapsulating the first ever Dykes Medal winner, iris Margot Holmes. The first irises appeared in Moorcroft's Florianware designs in 1898 and, over a century later, the Moorcroft Design Studio work their own iris magic to create the inaugural British Iris Society Collection. Each design carries a special centenary British Iris Society impressed backstamp together with the world-famous fine art pottery name, Moorcroft.
