Kittiwake 32/2 Vase

Kittiwakes are medium-sized gulls with a small yellow bill and a dark eye. They are not usually a noisy bird, but at their breeding colonies they make a loud cry which sounds like ‘kitt-ee-wake’, which is how they got their name. In the autumn, breeding birds move out into the Atlantic where they spend the winter, before they return the following year.
