Church St, Whitby YO22 4DE

(Event location: The Museum of Whitby Jet)

Saturday 28th September, 9.30am-6.30pm

Over the years, W. Hamond has acquired an unrivalled collection of antique Whitby Jet as well as the largest specimen of rough Whitby Jet in the world, and so with a firm belief that the history and heritage of Yorkshire’s famous gemstone should be shared with the world they opened the Museum of Whitby Jet located in the heart of Whitby’s old town.

It is in this magnificent venue that Moorcroft designer, Emma Bossons FRSA will be showcasing her designers’ portfolio of watercolours and talking about how she creates a design, producing a ‘drawn on green’ and linework for Moorcroft’s tubeliners and painters to work from.  Moorcroft Director of Art, Elise Adams will be giving an insightful talk on recent designs inspired by Whitby and Yorkshire.

The Museum of Whitby Jet will be open 9.30am to 6.30pm and for those of you that wish to enjoy an Afternoon Tea in Whitby, the in-house Albert’s Eatery will be serving them at 1pm before the talk.
